Everest Trekking

Everest region is the most attractive trekking area in Nepal. It includes the mountains like Cho Oyo (8153m), Nuptse (7879), Makalu (8470m), Ama Dablam (6856m) and other numerous summits higher than 600m elevation. Mt. Everest is the utmost peak in the world and it is the most popular destination for every trekker visiting Nepal. Mt. Everest lies at the northern border of Nepal in the Khumbu region.

Although Mt. Everest is a popular trekking destination in Nepal; it is a very adventurous trekking route. Trekkers should be aware of the mountain sickness and they have to be prepared about the first aid chapter before making the Everest trekking plan. The high livelihood of acute mountain sickness is the major complication in Everest Trekking which is called Acute Mountain Sickness and caused by climbing in high altitude. If people get to suffer from high altitude sickness, they could not go to the Base Camp but have to be back in Namche Bazaar. It is an administrative headquarters of the Khumbu region. Namche Bazaar has distinctive Sherpa's village as well as Tengboche monasteries. From Namche Bazaar too, you can observe the magnificent view of Mt Everest and Ama Dablam.

Everest Base Camp is the main target of every trekker which is in 5340m elevation. Most of the trekkers climb to the Kalapatar (5545m) and Pumori (7145m). The best season for trekking in the Everest region is from October to November and March to May.
