The authority issues the Alert signals to Trek Annapurna trails due to bad weather. The heavy snowfall results the four hotels in Annapurna Base Camp are totally damaged. ACAP Check post in Chhomrung is not letting trekkers go onward but if trekkers insist on going by themselves, check post is allowing trekkers to sign a letter stated thus: “We are trekking at our own risk”.
According to the source, hotels of Machhapuchre Base Camp are safe but there are no people around. Also, two hotels of Deurali are damaged; only one hotel at Dovan and Bamboo each is opened. On the way to MBC from Deurali, there are still chances of avalanches.
There is an alert signal for all the trekkers willing to trek the Annapurna region due to the high risk involved there for trekkers. However, if the weather remains clear, ABC will be opened by the end of March 2019.

1. Mardi Himal Trek which was also closed due to heavy snowfall has been opened for trekking for the past one week.
2. According to the ACAP check post, it began operation from March 13, 2019, through the routes of Manang-Tilicho, Manang-Narphu, Pisang, Manang-Thorong pass are still put on high alert. Sixteen trekkers had difficulty crossing the Thorong pass on 12 March 2019.
