And it also cascades on Sagarmatha national park. The expedition has been started only after the mountain was first ascended by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa on 29th May 1953 at 9:30 am of a sunny morning.
Mt. Everest Expedition starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trek begins from Lukla Bazaar and the trail takes us towards different local settlements. Another famous place is Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a well -known gateway to Everest /Khumbu Region. Namche bazaar leads towards Thyangboche monastery – and the route is also used for the Everest Base camp. It has two main routes for the expedition. The southeast ridge from Nepal and the Northeast ridge from Tibet are the main climbing routes of the Everest. However, among the two, the southeast trekking ridge is technically easier and the route has been constantly used by the climbers. Likewise, this is the same route that was used by the first climbers of this expedition.
