Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is one of the wonderful trekking in the Annapurna conservation area of western Nepal. This exciting trek begins once you fly to Pokhara. The trail passes through cascading waterfalls, lush forests and barren leeward side of the Himalayas.
During this trek, you will get a chance to walk through Gurkha’s villages and along the Kali Gandaki gorge. The Kali Gandaki Gorge is the deepest gorge on earth. The trail leads you to the Muktinath temple. Muktinath temple is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists alike.
The trek ends with the flight to Pokhara from Jomsom and followed by a drive from Kathmandu. You will experience many natural beauty and scenes in Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. This includes settlements, landscapes, nunnery, and the view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri mountain peaks. Marpha Village, a Thakali village which is very famous for the apple and its products. You will get the local products of apple which is ranging from edible food to alcoholic beverages.

Permits and Regulations
Sticking to the Lower Mustang region of Jomsom to Muktinath saves you a lot of time and money. You will need an Annapurna Conservation Area permit ($20) and TIMS card ($10) for trekking in and around Jomsom. We will manage your permits in Kathmandu.
You can also optionally to go beyond the Jomsom area if you have more time or you want to see a whole lot more. Alternatively, you can continue to the Upper Mustang region from Kagbeni. This region implies special permits to enter the region. The department of immigration of Government issues the permit for a minimum of 10 days. Instead of heading to Muktinath, you can head to Lo-Manthang, the capital of Upper Mustang. The Upper Mustang trek concludes after Muktinath. This adds another 8-10 days to this itinerary. A tour guide is required and the permits for Trekking in Upper Mustang cost $500 for 10 days.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
Oriental journeys representative will receive you at the gateway of International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. After having some rest, the itinerary and travel plan will be discussed in details. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation
A well-experienced and very informative guide receive you from the hotel in the morning after your breakfast and takes you to Kathmandu valley sightseeing. The sites include UNESCO World Heritage sites that are located in Kathmandu valley. The sites are Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, we will make trekking pieces of equipment ready for trekking. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, we will fly to Pokhara early in the morning along with the amazing view of the hills, mountains and the valleys from the sky. We will be heading to Nayapul from Pokhara airport. After one and half an hour drive, we reach Naya Pul. Our trekking starts from Naya Pul. During trekking, we will walk towards the Bhurundi Khola then ascend through lush forests. After this, we cross the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola and reach Tikhedhunga. Overnight stay at Tikhedhunga.
