Tilicho Lake Trekking Route
The Tilicho Lake trekking starts from Besishahar which is the district headquarter of Lamjung district. Lamjung district is well known for many historical events of Nepal. This trek offers you an experience of Annapurna circuit trek since the route to Tilicho Lake trekking and Annapurna circuit trek occur in the same region. Every year, more than thousands of the trekkers follow this route. Due to this, the route has become famous for both treks. Therefore, the route and itineraries will be more or less similar for both treks. Since both itineraries follow the same trails from Beshisahar till Khangsar village, one needs to cross Khansar village in order to reach Tilicho Lake. Khangsar village is the leaving point for Tilicho lake and Annapurna base camp trek. The route passing through Mesokanta-La directly connect with the previous route in Jomsom.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcome in the Tribhuvan International Airport by the representative of Oriental Journeys. After you transfer to the hotel, we will provide you the detail itinerary and trek planning.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing
After breakfast, an experienced tour guide will receive you in the hotel for Kathmandu valley sightseeing. You will visit world heritage sites Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, swayambhunath and Kathmandu durbar square. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Besishahar and Beshishara to Jagat
We will pick up you from hotel early in the morning and drive to Besisahar. It takes 7 hours to reach to Beshisahar . You will again drive to Jagat in local vehicle. Overnight stay at Jagat.

Day 04: Jagat to Bagarchhap
The early morning trekking is scheduled to Bagarchhap. You need to cross the suspension bridge via Kaligandaki river side. After this, we will reach at Taal, an entrance to Manang district which offers you the splendid views of the waterfalls. The trek is scheduled to end at Bagarchhap today and you need to hike via Dharapani to reach at Bagarchhap. Overnight staty at hotel.

Day 05: Bagarchhap to Chame (2710m) - 6-7 hrs
The trek takes you towards the spectacular views of Mt. Manaslu after climbing uphill along the ways of rhododendron and fire forests. We need to walk sometimes in the steep forested ridges with some landslides in this day. Then at the end of the day, we will reach to Chame, the headquarter of Manang district. Chame welcomes you with the remarkable views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. Overnight stay at tea houses run by migrated Tibetan people.

Day 06: Dharapani to Chame
The trek is scheduled to start early in the morning. After two hours uphill trek, you will rewarded with spectacular views of Mt. Manaslu. But we should negotiate some trails with steep forested ridges along with some landslides. After this, the trekking trail further greeted you with the remarkable views of Mt, Annapurna and Lamjung Himal from Chame, the district headquarter of Manang district. Overnight stay at tea house.

Day 07: Chame to Pisang (3190m) - 5-6 hrs
Today, we will be passing deep and steep trekking trails, narrow valley and also cross a couple of suspension bridge. After this we start climbing uphill
in to the beautiful pine forests. We will have lunch at Dhukur Pokhari and trek for an hour in the flat green mountain valley. Overnight at lodge.

There is an alternative trekking route from Pisang to Mugi and trekking from Lower Pisang is comparatively shorter and easier one. We will take you to the trekking towards mountain valley via some pine trees. In addition to this, you will can see the living standard of mountain people from Braga and Ngawol ancient village. Overnight stay in Manang.

Day 09: Manang to Khangshar village ( 3734m)
The trek continues towards Tilicho lake after crossing western gate. The trails to Tilicho is separated from Thorong La Pass. The trail move ahead towards Khangsar village after crossing the suspension bridge. Khangsar village is the last village of this region.
Day 10: Khangsar to Tilicho Lake Base Camp (4150m)
The trekking starts early in the morning after having breakfast. There is a windy and rock falling trail after twelve O'clock. We arrive at base camp and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Trek to Tilicho Lake (4949m) and back to base camp
The trekking starts towards uphill climb but after sometimes you will get easier routes. Sometimes, it becomes hard to climb because of high elevation. From there, you will see the mountains from every direction as the trekking moves towards climbing to Tilicho Lake. Since the lake is located in the highest elevation, one need to climb up to get the lake. The trail offers you an amazing view of mountain and desert land. After encountering the mesmerizing view of Tilicho lake, you will get back to Tilcho Lake base camp from the same route. Overnight stay at small lodge.

Day 12: Base camp to Yak Kharka (4020m)
The trekking routes follow the same trail from Tilicho Base camp. Then we leave the Khangsar trails and catch another trail to Yak Kharka. The views of Khangsar village and view of the mountains are the main attractions of the trek. There is a possibility to see blue sheep in this area as well. The trek ends at Yak kharka and overnight stay at the same place.

Day 13: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi - 4-5 hrs
Today, the treks starts through some steep and sheer trails of up and down hill. We cross the wooden bridge and steep climb. For the acclimatization, people use to climb the high camp and come down for night.

Day 14: Thorong Phedi to Throng La Passes (5416m) then to Muktinath
The trek is quite dangerous today but we will assured you that you will be fully secured from the company. We need to wake up at 3:30 am and get ready for breakfast. At this time, you will climb up straightly to the high camp with the help of headlight in the dark.It gives you very unique and interesting experience in trekking. The early trekking is usually done to avoids the big winds therefore it is better to arrive at the top before 10 O'clock. We carry some pack lunch while going to Throng La Pass. Then we came back to Muktinath.

Day 15: Muktinath to Jomsom
Today, morning offers you a beautiful and spectacular views of the seventh highest mountain in the world- Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and many more with beautiful landscape. When we descend back, we will get an opportunity to explore 700 and 500 years old monastery at Jharkot and Kagbeni, the gateway of upper mustang. The trail catch the Kaligandaki river and we have to face wind till to Jomsom.

Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight
After having breakfast in Jomsom, we will have 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is the second biggest city of Nepal and we can see the beautiful mountains views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and lamjung mountains. In addition to this, you will get the sightseeing views in Pokhara in Davis falls, Fewa lake, Gupteswor Cave, Tibetan Regugee camp. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus- 6 hrs drive
We will drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara after having breakfast. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Kathmandu. The lunch is provided on the way. You will have free time in Kathmandu for shopping.
Day 18: Final Departure
It's the last day of your stay in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you can utilize your time for shopping and sightseeing in Kathmandu. We will drop you at the airport, before 3 hours of your scheduled flight.
