Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) and transfer to hotel
- The representative of Oriental Journeys will welcome you at airport and transfer you to the hotel.
- At the evening we will provide you detail about the travel plan.
- Introduction with guide and trek preparation
-Overnight stay at hotel in KathmanduDay 02: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (35 min) and trek to Phakding (2651m)- 3 hrs
- We will catch early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (Tenzing Hilary Airport)
- Lukla is the starting point of Everest trekking.
- The other member of the team will join us from Lukla
- Then we start trekking from Lukla to Phakding.
- The trek offers a close view of the sacred mountain peak called Mt. Khumbu.Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) - 7 hrs
- The trekking continues from Phakding to Phakdine that passes through a pine forest along the Dudh Koshi river.
- After crossing the suspension bridge, we enter at Sagarmatha National Park. - - The trek continues towards Jorsalle and having lunch.
- Then the trail descends steeply upwards to Namche bazaar.
- Namche bazar is a beautiful valley and also known as the capital of Sherpa people.
- We can learn about Sherpa culture and lifestyles in Namche bazaar.
- Beside sherpa culture, we will get majestic view of Mt. Everest.
- Overnight stay at Namche bazaar.Day 04: Acclimatization day in Namche
- This particular day is separated for acclimatization in Namche to avoid possible high altitude sickness.
- We will hike to the Everest viewpoint just above the Namche bazaar.
- We can further visit Sherpa Museum to get information about Sherpa culture in details.
- We can further see the footprint of Yeti in the Musuem and many other historical information about the mountain.
-Overnight stay at NamcheDay 05: Trek to Tengboche (3870m)- 6 hrs
- We continue our trek to Tengboche along with some ascending and descending trails via rhododendron forests.
- After reaching at Phungi Thanka, we will have lunch.
- Then we descends down to Tengboche.
- Tengboche is a beautiful place which offers magnificent views of the different mountain like Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam including Mt. Everest.
- Overnight stay at lodge in Tengboche.Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4360m)- 5 hrs
-The trek continues from Tengboche to Dingboche.
- The trekking trail is quite easier today and we trek through the rhododendron forests.
- We will descend downhill and reach at Pangboche after crossing Imja River.
- We can see monastery after some trek from Pangboche. It further provides fabulous views of Mountain along the trekking trail.
- After crossing Imja valley, the trek ascends to Dingboche, a beautiful village famous for the summer settlement of Yak grazing.
- We can further oversee Yak grazing in the village .
- Overnight stay at lodge in Dingboche.Day 07: Second Acclimatization day in Dingboche
- Today is the relaxation day but we recommend to stay active and do moderate walk and hike.
-In Dingboche, we can get chance to know about the villagers and their unique culture and lifestyles.
- We can further explore the beautifully cultivated field of barley, wheat, buchwheat and potato.
-Overnight stay at hotelDay 08: Trek to Lobuche (4940m) - 6 hrs
- The day starts with a moderate climb to Duglha.
- Then we continue our ascending treks towards Chupki Lara that goes to Khumbu glacier moraine and we witness beautiful peaks from there including Khumbutse, Lingtern, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal.
- Then the trail moves ahead to LobucheDay 09: Trek to Gorakshep (5170m) and EBC- 8 hrs
- Today, the we move towards Everest Base Camp.
- We will continue our trek through some ascend and descend trails mostly on a glacier path.
- During the trekking, we will find many beautiful Himalayas and majestic peaks like Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori will welcome us.
- We get back to Gorakshep and overnight stay at lodge.Day 10: Trek to Kalapathhar (5545m) for the most beautiful sunrise view and fly back to Kathmandu by Helicopter
- Today, we walk a bit early and walk to Kala Pathar in the dark with cold temperature.
- After 2 to 3 hours trekking, we reach at Kalapatthar.
- The view of Mt. Everest is really great from Kalapatthar. We will get full enjoyment from Everest view.
- After this, we trek back to Gorakshep.
- Then we will take a Helicopter tour and the helicopter take the way of serene waters of the Gokyo Lake and lining view of the trails.
- After viewing the fabulous view of Mt. Everest, we will fly back to Kathmandu.
- Overnight stay at KathmanduDay 11: Departure to your next destination
- Today is your last day at Nepal, the land of heaven.
- We will drop you at airport a few hours before the scheduled flight.
