Gokyo Cho-La Pass Trek is one of the exciting, adventurous, and technical trails in the Everest region of Nepal. It is also known as a “high altitude trek” so one should be physically prepared for this trek.

Gokyo Cho-La Pass trek begins from Lukla, a 35 minutes flight from Kathmandu and the trekking trail follows the same route as the Gokyo Lake trek. You will follow the route from Dudh Koshi valley, Namche Bazaar, and Gokyo Lake. After you reached Gokyo Lake, you acclimatize to Gokyo Ri (5480m) from where you can view the astonishing mountain view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, and Cho Oyo.
On the next day, you can reach Dzongla then Kala Patthar (5545m) from where you can see the scenic view of the top of the world, Mt. Everest, and on the following day, you can trek to Everest Base Camp. The return route will be via Tyangboche, where you can encounter the famous and magnificent monastery. From Tyangboche, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt. Lhotse 8516m, Mt. Nuptse 7855m, and Mt. Ama Dablam 6856m, Kantega 6809m, etc. Then the trek continues via Namche Bazar to Lukla.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1338m)

- Descend to Dibuche and gently flat trek until crossing the Imja khola
- Trek to steep trail upwards to Pangboche
- Trek offers beautiful views of Amadablam and continue to Somare
- Take the trail towards Dingboche after reaching at Orsho.
- Overnight stay in Dongboche.Day 08: Trekto Lobuche (4910m)
- Climb towards Pheriche valley in the morning
- Two hours of gradual climbing takes you to Thukla
- The trekking offers the view of yak pastures, alpine scrubs along with Mt Cholotse and Tawoche.
- Upward trekking continues towards Thokla Pass
- Crossing the Gokyo Cho La Pass trail which further leads us towards Lobuche
- Overnight stay at LobucheDay 09: Trek to Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m/11280ft) and EBC (5364m/17549ft)- 7-8 hours
- Early morning hike over stone trails with rock and ice and the trail leads us towards Gorakshep
- Preparation to move to EBC
- We can reach at EBC about 3 hours trek to Everest Base Camp

- Trek back to Gorakshep
- Preparation for the morning trek to Kalapathar
- Overnight stay at GorakshepDay 10: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapather (5545m/16961ft.) and return back to Dzongla (4830m)
- Early morning wake up and hike up to Kalapather.
- Enjoying with the amazing view of sunrise in the Himalayas.
- Trek down to Gorakshep
- After reaching Gorakshep, we need to hike both upward and downward trails which leads us to Dzongla.

- Overnight stay at Dzongla.Day 11: Trek to Dragnak or Thangna after crossing Cho La Pass ( 5420m)
- Early Morning wake up and trek towards Cho La Pass depending on weather condition.
- Take short break at the top of Pass and take memorable photos.
- Trek down towards Dragnak Village and take rest to the south of Mt. Cho-Yu.
- Overnight stay at Dragnak VillageDay 12: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4790m)
- Trek continues towards Ngozumpa glacier (longest glacier in Nepal)
- We pass the Gokyo Lakes after crossing the glacier until reaching the third lake
- We reach Gokyo Village.
- Overnight stay in Gokyo villages.Day 13: Climb Gokyo Ri (5483m) and trek to Dole
- Early morning wake up
- Climb to Gokyo Ri for 45 minutes
- Enjoy the 90 degrees view from the top of Gokyo Ri
- Trek down to Gokyo and trek preparation to Dole
- 5 hours descend trek leads us to Dole village
- Overnight stay at DoleDay 14: Trek to Namche
- Descend down for 5 hours and get Namche bazaar.
- Enjoy the views of the Mt. Ama Dablam, Kangtega and Everest
- Enjoy the farewell and successful party
- Overnight stay at Namche bazaar.Day 15: Trek back to Lukla
- This is the last day of the trekking and we will follow the same roads backwards after passing Phakding
- Then we will take upward trails which leads us to Lukla
