Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,428ft)
Today you will arrive in Kathmandu. After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by a representative from Oriental Journeys with Khadas and Garlands. Then, you will be transformed to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Early Morning Drive to Nagarkot for early morning sunrise view and hike to Changu Narayan Temple after Breakfast
You will get up early in the morning at 4:00am. An English speaking tour guide from Oriental Journeys will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Nagarkot with your packed breakfast. An hour drive from Thamel to Nagarkot will take you to the hill top view point for the wonderful Sunrise View. After enjoying the majestic view of first rays of sun over the Himalayas and the lush valleys, you will hike down to the historical temple premises of Changunarayan temple. Drive back to Kathmandu in afternoon. You will time to prepare yourself to attend next day's marriage ceremony.
Day 03: Attend marriage Ceremony
Today, you will attend the marriage ceremony after taking breakfast. You will take part in marriage procession from bridegroom's place to ceremony place. You have an opportunity to observe all the procedures of traditional Nepali marriage system for the full day. The procedures like Swayambhar, Kanyadan, Sindoor, Agni Fera including some pranks and cultural flirting will enjoy you. You will enjoy the feast with delicious dishes during the ceremony.
Day 04: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Today, you will go for sightseeing in UNISCO World Cultural Heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. Specially Pashupaninath - the famous and greatest Hindu Temple, Bouddhanath - Buddhist Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square -a medieval Royal Palace Square. This will introduce you about the culture, traditions, history, religions and religious harmony in Nepal.
Day 05: Attend Marriage Reception
You have free time in the morning to prepare yourself for the marriage reception. You will enjoy participating the marriage reception in the evening with cultural extravaganzas, dances and cocktail dinner.
Day 06: Drive to Chitwan
Drive Kathmandu to Chitwan in a deluxe tourist vehicle. After driving for 5/6 hours, we will reach at the Chitwan. You will check in hotel nearby National Park. Jungle safari trip starts after luch. A short visit around the Tharu villages will allow you to observe their lifestyle. In the evening, you will experience the Tharu Culture program. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Full Day Jungle Activities
Today, you will go for full day Chitwan national park activities. After breakfast you will go for thrilling canoe trip on Rapti river, Jungle walk to see some wild animals and will visit to elephant breeding center, then Elephant bathing. You will have opportunity to take a shower from elephant trunk. After Lunch rest, you will be going for Elephant back Jungle safari. This is the main attraction of the trip. During the safari you can observe One Horned Rhinos, severeal species of birds, crocodile and different vegetations.
Day 08: Drive Back to Kathmandu
You will be following your guide early in the morning for bird watching inside the national park. After birdwatching tour, your journey will start to Kathmandu following the same route. In the evening visit Thamel market shops for souvenir shopping .
Day 09: Final departure to the destination
A vehicle from Oriental Journeys will take you from hotel and drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport. Finally, this will be a moment to say you good bye till our next visit for another trip in Nepal. You will fly to your next destination.
